A fast-paced nature route through Ella, Yala, Mirissa, Galle and Bentota.
The experience
Best for active travelers who want mountains, wildlife and beaches rather than ancient-city sightseeing. The route moves quickly from Ella to a Yala safari and the southern coast, making each of the five days distinct while keeping the journey private.
Day by day
Day 1
Travel into the central highlands with scenic stops along the way. In Ella, hike Little Adam's Peak, an accessible trail through tea country ending at a sweeping mountain viewpoint.
Day 2
Walk to the famous Nine Arch Bridge, surrounded by dense greenery, then stop at Ravana Falls before descending towards Yala. Check in near the national park and prepare for the next day's safari.
Day 3
Set out by jeep into Yala National Park. Search for elephants, deer, buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys and birdlife. Yala is also known for leopards, although sightings are never guaranteed. Continue to Mirissa and enjoy the beach at sunset.
Day 4
Follow the southern coastline to UNESCO-listed Galle Fort. Walk the ramparts, lighthouse area and historic streets, then continue north to Bentota with an optional turtle conservation stop en route.
Day 5
Spend the morning at leisure before your private departure transfer.
